Editing a large number of images can take a long time, unless you decide to use a specialized batch editor. Batch It! allows you to manipulate images, add captions and watermarks, rename them and perform other operations. The best part is that you only need to make one set of configurations and the software will apply them on any number of pictures in a single run.

Batch It! is not free, but a 21-day trial version is available. The good news is that you can use the trial version to perform any operation, without any restrictions and the software will not place its own watermark on your output images. It works on Windows XP and all later versions and it provides support for both 32 and 64-bit operating systems.

Imported images are listed in the central region of the user interface, with their current and new file names, orientation settings, captions and paths. You can replace the files list with various editing options, by selecting a series of navigation tabs. You can also preview the original and edited images, side by side, on the right side of the interface.

The available editing options are categorized in different lists. All image manipulations are made by typing or selecting values in a series of input fields. The software can be set to convert the loaded images to other formats, rename them, add captions and watermarks or apply various effects. There are several settings to be made for each type of operation. For example, if you wish to rename your images, you can choose to number them, set a number of digits, add a suffix and a prefix and so on.

If you are satisfied with your settings, you can select an output path, in the lower region of the interface, and hit the Start button to apply your settings on the loaded images. You can also tick a few options if you wish to retain the original folder structure, auto-detect the orientation settings of your images from their EXIF tags and more.

Pros

The software allows you to make a wide range of modifications on any number of images. You can crop or resize your pictures, rename them, apply effects and more. Everything can be done on the same interface, so you don't have to bring up additional menus and get lost in their options.

Cons

You can't preview your adjustments in real time. Large collections of photos can be optimized in just a few minutes, thanks to the efficient functionality that Batch It! provides.
